Focused Electron Beam Induced Processing
4th FEBIP Workshop
20th-21th June 2012
Zaragoza, Spain
Introduction
Following the previous three successful FEBIP workshops in Delft (The Netherlands), Thun (Switzerland) and Albany (USA), we are pleased to announce the 4th FEBIP workshop to be held in Zaragoza (Spain) on 20th and 21st June 2012. The University of Zaragoza, through the Laboratorio de Microscopías Avanzadas (LMA), the Instituto de Nanociencia de Aragón (INA) and the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Aragón (ICMA), will host this workshop.
Venue and travel tips
Venue: The welcome party on 19th June will take place at "Instituto de Nanociencia de Aragón, Campus Actur, Calle Mariano Esquillor, Zaragoza". The workshop on 20th and 21st June will take place at the "Paraninfo building of the University of Zaragoza, Plaza Aragón, Zaragoza"
Travel tips: Zaragoza is located in the north of Spain, halfway between Madrid and Barcelona. You can reach Zaragoza by direct flight from only a few places in Europe and with limited number of flights, so, in general, the best option is to fly to Madrid or Barcelona. If you fly to Madrid airport, then take the local train to Atocha railway station (25 minutes), then take the AVE train to Zaragoza-Delicias station (80 minutes). Then, you can take a taxi to drop you at your hotel in less than 15 minutes (about 10 euro typically). If you fly to Barcelona airport, then take the local train to SANTS railway station (25 minutes), then take the AVE train to Zaragoza-Delicias station (80 minutes). Please, be aware that IBERIA pilots announced a strike every Monday and Friday from now until July. So, if your flight is with IBERIA company, you must be aware of this.
FEBIP Programme
The following topics will be addressed during the workshop:
- Modelling of Focused electron beam induced deposition (FEBID) and etching (FEBIE)
- Growth of functional materials (magnetic, photonic…) by FEBID
- Purity of nanostructures grown by FEBID
- High-resolution FEBID
- New growth concepts: UHV-FEBID, combined ALD-FEBID,…
- New sensing and biosensing concepts based on FEBID
- Experiments using FEBIE technique
- Multi-disciplinary approaches using FEBID and FEBIE
The following invited speakers are confirmed:
