SUMMER COURSE  “Nanoscience: New challenges and opportunities for Biotechnology

Course Objectives: To expose students applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology in biotechnology and biomedical areas and their level of development to industrial and laboratory scales . This course emphasizes the technologies used in the manufacture and production of nanomaterials , their applications in biotechnology and biomedicine , future and the social, ethical and environmental implications of these technologies. Provides an introduction to the history , tools, materials, and current and emerging nanotechnology applications.

Evaluation procedure:

A type test examination will be conducted and will require a minimum score of 5/10 to be overcome. This school will be held parallel to a school Nanocharacterization Nanofabrication and directed by Prof. Jose Maria Teresa and Pilar Cea . Some papers of both courses will be compatible with the assistance of students from another course. Depending on the route chosen class for each student will be examined in one or another section.
